High precision titanium CNC machining parts

Short Description:

Excellent strength to weight ratio, used in aerospace, automotive and medical industries. Titanium is a metal with excellent strength-to-weight ratio, low thermal expansion and high corrosion resistance that is sterilizable and biocompatible.

Product Detail

Available materials

Titanium Grade 5 | 3.7164 | Ti6Al4V   Titanium is stronger than Grade 2, equally corrosion-resistant, and has an excellent bio-compatibility. It is ideal for applications where a high strength to weight ratio is required.

Titanium Grade 2:   Titanium grade 2 is unalloyed or "commercially pure" Titanium. It has a relatively low level of impurity elements and yield strength that places it between grade 1 and 3. The grades of titanium are dependent on the yield strength. Grade 2 is light-weight, highly corrosion resistant and has excellent weldability.

Titanium Grade 1:   Titanium grade 1 has excellent corrosion resistance and strength-to-density ratio. These properties make this grade of titanium suitable for components in weight-saving structures with reduced mass forces and for components that require high corrosion resistance. Moreover, due to the low thermal expansion coefficient, the thermal stresses are lower than in other metallic materials. It is widely used in the medical sector because of its outstanding biocompatibility.

Specification of CNC machining parts with Titanium

An alloy with a host of unique properties, titanium is often an optimal choice for CNC machined parts with specialized applications. Titanium has an impressive strength-to-weight ratio and is 40% lighter than steel while being only 5% weaker. This makes it perfect for high-tech industries like aerospaceautomotivemedical technology and energy. The titanium machining process involves milling down a raw piece of metal into a desired part or component.

Advantage of CNC Machining Titanium

1、High Strength: Titanium material is stronger than most metal materials. Its tensile strength is about twice that of steel, while its density is only about half that of steel. This makes titanium an ideal choice for lightweight, high-strength parts in aerospace and defense.

2、Lightweight: Titanium material is a lightweight metal that is lighter than traditional metal materials such as copper, nickel and steel. Therefore, it is widely used in fields requiring lightweight, such as aerospace, automobiles, sports equipment, etc.

3、Corrosion resistance: Titanium materials have excellent corrosion resistance and can be used in extreme environments, such as seawater and chemical solutions. Therefore, it is widely used in the fields of aerospace, marine, petroleum and chemical industry.

4、Biocompatibility: Titanium material is considered to be one of the most biocompatible metals, and is widely used in the manufacture of human implants, such as artificial joints, dental implants, etc.

5、High-temperature strength: Titanium materials have good high-temperature strength and can be used in high-temperature environments, such as high-temperature components of aero engines and aerospace vehicles.

What kind of surface treatment is suitable for CNC machining parts of Titanium

The surface treatment of titanium alloy can improve its surface properties, corrosion resistance, friction, etc. by means of sandblasting, electrochemical polishing, pickling, anodizing, etc.
